How and when will I receive my tickets? +
1. Booking confirmed
After completing your purchase, you will receive a booking confirmation email. If the tickets are nominative, you will always receive a form to complete your personal details via email, WhatsApp, and SMS. It is essential to complete this form within 30 minutes of the booking in order to correctly issue the tickets.
2. Ticket delivery
Our delivery commitment is:
  • Up to 24 hours before the visit for advance bookings.
  • Up to 1 hour before the visit for bookings made less than 24 hours in advance.
Once the tickets are available, you will receive them by email and, additionally, we may send them via WhatsApp and/or SMS for your convenience. Furthermore, 24 hours before your visit, you will receive an automatic reminder through the same channels.
3. Exception: tours with in-person ticket delivery
For guided tours, tickets are not sent in advance, as they are delivered directly to the customer by the guide.
  • Tickets are delivered at the meeting point on the day and time of the visit.
  • The customer must go to the meeting point indicated in the booking confirmation email.
The type of tour purchased (digital delivery or in-person delivery) is clearly indicated in the booking confirmation email sent immediately after purchase.
Is the ticket to enter the Colosseum included in my purchase? +
Yes, admission to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill is included in all our products that clearly indicate this during the booking process.
What should I do if I have a booking for the Colosseum with a GUIDED TOUR? +
Once you have completed the purchase of your tickets on our website, you will receive a purchase confirmation email. In a subsequent email, you will receive a link to access your private area on our website, where you can download your admission tickets and the audio guide (if you selected it). Your tickets will indicate the meeting point for the start of the guided tour. You must be at this meeting point on the selected date and time. Please arrive early enough to enjoy your guided tour without any issues.
What should I do if I purchased Colosseum tickets with an AUDIO GUIDE? +
If you make a reservation with an audio guide, you must follow the instructions provided in the booking confirmation email to download or collect it.
What documentation do I need to access the Colosseum? +
For the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, tickets are nominative, which means you will be required to present an original physical identity document (ID card or equivalent) or passport at the entrance. This is mandatory for access.
Can I bring my Colosseum tickets in digital format? +
Yes, there is no problem. Tickets may be presented in any digital format as long as all details are clearly legible.
Do children need tickets for the Colosseum? +
Yes, all visitors require a ticket to access the monument, regardless of age. Without a ticket, entry will not be permitted.
Can I change or cancel my Colosseum tickets? +
Once the booking request has been made, neither the name, date, time, nor the tickets can be modified or cancelled, and therefore no refund is possible. This is explicitly stated on our website and is expressly accepted during the purchase process, including the final step acknowledging the cancellation policy.
No exceptions are allowed, including COVID, other illnesses, work-related reasons, travel cancellations, etc., as established by the managing authority.
Once the ticket has been purchased, NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ARE ACCEPTED.
The only exception is the closure of the monument. If the monument closes unexpectedly, you are entitled to a full refund, which will be automatically issued using the same payment method.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal? +
The right of withdrawal does not apply to this purchase, as expressly stated by the monument itself. Once the purchase has been completed, the transaction cannot be cancelled. Tickets, vouchers, and additional services purchased are non-refundable. Changes to the booking date and/or time or to the names of participants are also not permitted.
Is it possible to eat inside the Colosseum? +
It is not permitted to bring food or drinks from outside into the Colosseum. It is also not possible to purchase food inside the Colosseum. However, drinking water is available from the numerous drinking fountains located throughout the site.
Is there a cloakroom or luggage storage service at the Colosseum? +
No, there are no lockers or luggage storage facilities at the monument.
Is the visit to the Colosseum cancelled in case of rain? +
No, the visit can take place in any weather conditions.
What happens if the Colosseum closes? +
The monument rarely closes. In exceptional cases, the monument may notify us of a closure with very little notice. In such cases, we can reschedule your visit to another day or issue a full refund.
Are pets allowed inside the monument? +
Small dogs are allowed in the open areas of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The Colosseum and all enclosed areas are excluded.
Can I enter the Colosseum at a different time than the one selected during purchase? +
No, purchased tickets are valid only for the date and time selected during the purchase process. Attending at a different date or time means that access to the monument will not be permitted.
How long can I stay inside the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill? +
There is no time limit for staying inside. Your visit will only be limited by the monument’s opening hours during each period of the year.
